Ms. Akshita Lad is an award-winning artist honored with the prestigious UAE Golden Visa by the Arts and Culture Ministry for her contributions to the arts. Born in Mumbai and now based in Dubai, her passion for art and design has deep roots, nurtured in childhood visits to museums where she was inspired by the works of Da Vinci, Monet, Michelangelo, and Rembrandt.

After earning a degree in Business and Finance from Boston University’s School of Management, Ms. Lad built a successful career in real estate, gaining experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality developments. In 2004, she furthered her design skills with a certificate from the Florence Design Academy.

In 2018, Ms. Lad pursued her love of painting at the Lotus Educational Institute in Dubai, developing a style that combines traditional techniques with a modern appeal. Her art, inspired by Renaissance and Impressionist masters, reflects her unique approach to color and texture, conveying inclusion, joy, and positivity in every piece.

Her work spans portraits, landscapes, and abstract expressionism, earning acclaim for its depth, elegance, and timeless beauty. Guided by Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s words on doing one’s work “to the very best of her ability,” she paints with dedication, constantly refining her craft.

Ms. Lad’s passion extends beyond her artistry. She believes in the power of feminine energy to create positive change and is dedicated to empowering girls through education and advocating for nature and animal protection. Her paintings embody these values, making her an artist whose work is as meaningful as it is beautiful.
